Our client is a leader in the telecommunications industry primarily in the infrastructure space. This company is headquartered in America and has a very successful and independent Australian operation. There is a rare vacancy for a Commercial Analyst in their Sydney based Finance division.


The responsibilities of the role include:

  • Financial Modeling and evaluation of the commercial viability of business proposals
  • Assisting Sales ad Finance departments with financial analysis and presentations to executives
  • Monitoring and reporting on market intelligence on industry/customer activity and key wireless market indicators
  • Assisting with financial forecasting
  • Servicing various business units with ad-hoc analysis to provide constructive insight in corporate and customer business drivers


The ideal applicant will be/have:

  • Strong financial analysis and modeling skills practices in evaluation (DCF, NPV, IRR)
  • Well developed Excel modelling skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Experienced in developing presentations for senior management
  • Ability to critically evaluate proposals and opportunities from a commercial view
  • Tertiary qualifications in a business discipline (Accounting, Business, commerce, Finance, Economics or Property)
  • Previous experience supporting sales/account management
